Trains disrupted after emergency services called between Crewe and Wilmslow
Northern services to and from Manchester Piccadilly faced disruption on Tuesday 27 October after an incident between Crewe and Wilmslow.
An incident between Crewe and Wilmslow disrupted trains serving Manchester Piccadilly on Tuesday 27 October. Emergency services attended the incident in Cheshire, which was first reported at about 8.10pm.
Northern said fewer trains could operate on some lines between Crewe and Piccadilly while emergency services dealt with the incident. The operator warned that services in both directions could face cancellation or delay.
Traffic data company Inrix reported cancellations affecting Northern trains on the Crewe–Wilmslow section. The disruption affected services to Manchester on Tuesday night.
