Gary Neville’s firm plans two Manchester towers with hotel and 434 flats
Relentless Developments has filed a scoping report with Manchester council for towers of 35 and 46 storeys near the River Irwell, with a hotel, flats and office
Relentless Developments, the firm co-founded by Gary Neville, has submitted a scoping report to Manchester city council for two towers beside the River Irwell.
The towers would stand 35 and 46 storeys tall. Together they would hold 172 hotel rooms, 434 apartments and eight floors of offices.
Site near Deansgate
The scheme would be built at St Mary’s Parsonage in the city centre, near Deansgate. The plans include demolishing the existing Cardinal House building.
The report describes the site as a short distance from the Spinningfields business district, Deansgate and Manchester’s main commercial core. It says St Mary’s Parsonage connects directly to Bridge Street (A34), giving access to the wider city centre road network. It adds that the surrounding area mixes modern office buildings, commercial premises and high-quality public spaces.
Next steps
A scoping report is an initial step. A full planning application must follow for the council to consider.
If the plans are approved, construction could finish between 2031 and 2034. Relentless Developments was approached for comment.
The company has led several projects in Manchester, including Hotel Football. It is also behind St Michael’s, a five-star hotel due to open in 2027.
