HG Construction wins £225m contracts for four Red Bank buildings
HG Construction has won £225m contracts to build 895 homes across four buildings at Red Bank, including a 34-storey rental tower.
HG Construction has secured contracts worth £225m for four buildings at Red Bank in Manchester. The work will deliver 895 homes across two plots within FEC’s Victoria North plans.
A 34-storey building on plot NT02 will contain 316 homes. It will be FEC’s first development built specifically for rent. Work is due to start immediately, with completion expected by 2029.
The other plot, NT03, will provide 579 homes across buildings named Falcon, Kingfisher and Midrise. Construction is expected to start in early 2027, subject to Gateway 2 approval under the Building Safety Act from the Building Safety Regulator.
FEC operations director Anthony Payne said the next phase followed investment in infrastructure and public spaces at Red Bank. HG Construction chief executive Adam Quinn said the company’s in-house construction capacity, including bathroom and utility pods made off site, would help it mobilise and control delivery, quality and safety.
